Stones and Pearls : Essay
“Stones & Pearls” is both profound criticism and homage. It criticizes the fixation on appearances in our society and the imperative of the beauty ideals anchored in it, which exclude minorities and force the majority of people into a corset of inadequacy.
At the same time, “Stones & Pearls” celebrates the imagination and creative freedom of fashion. The visual power of the iconographic imagery and the theatricality of scenic fashion photography provide the metaphors for “Stones & Pearls”.
By taking up avant-garde ideas and visions and embodying them through its iconographic visuality that exaggerates reality, it acts as a medium that allows us to think outside the box and see the world with new eyes.

Gleichzeitig feiert „Stones & Pearls“ die Fantasie und die kreative Freiheit der Mode. Die visuelle Kraft der ikonografischen Bildwelten und die Theatralik in der szenischen Modefotografie liefern die Metaphern für „Stones & Pearls“.
